What do you know now? How do you grow somehow? How do I let go? Where do I get Tell me because I don't think I know? If I don’t belong What do I do with all the love Nobody wants? What do you care now? Why do you stare Like you're not sure why I would hang around For more? How do I stop 'Cause I don't think that I've been here before? If I don’t belong What do I do with all the love Nobody wants? What do I do with all the love Nobody wants? What do I do with all the love Nobody wants? What do you care now? Why do you stare Like you're not sure why I would hang around For more? How do I stop 'Cause I don't think that I've been here before? No, I don't think that I've been here before No, I don't think that I've been here before No, I don't think that I've been here before No, I don't think that I've been here before If I don’t belong What do I do with all the love Nobody wants? What do I do with all the love Nobody wants? What do I do with all the love Nobody wants?

It’s turning sour on my tongue This yearning to belong Sweeter than the saddest song You’re like a badge upon my sleeve A whisper on the breeze Dying like the falling leaves Where are you now? Where are you now? You’re fading out Where are you now? Just like jetsam on the brine Static on the line An echo from the best of times I should cut you out of my hair Brush it out and leave it there But I just can’t admit how much I’m scared Where are you now? Where are you now? You’re fading out Where are you now?
3.
Why don't you pick up the phone Not so sure you're on your own All these scenes that play in my head Everything that you never said Tell me what I did I can't fathom it Tell me what I did Please don't say it's him with the hair Hanging round whenever you're there You just say there's nothing in it I still think he looks like a tit Tell me what I did I can't fathom it Tell me what I did Get out of my head

about

The Sound of Confusion named Mechanical Mouse Organ’s debut album, Get Over It, one of their top twenty albums of 2015. All The Love (Nobody Wants) packs a deeper emotional punch and draws from a wider sonic spectrum than its predecessor.

On the title track, an initially sparse verse, propelled by a percussively strummed Stratocaster, gives way to a warm, fuzz-laden chorus, where Darryl Todd’s achingly emotive vocal intones the hook, “if I don’t belong, what do I do with all the love nobody wants”. A heartfelt lament about yearning and rejection, shot through with warmth, overdrive and a melodic strength that recall Dinosaur Jnr. A serious earworm.

Where Are You Know starts as a laid back groove, built around a hypnotic guitar arpeggio and a falling bass figure, but kicks up a gear for the chorus, and up another, through a crunching guitar solo, to a climatic middle eight where Todd is given full reign over a crescendo of crashing cymbals, power chords and plunging bass runs. Final track, Get Out of My Head, is upbeat and poppy, all Dr Robert style guitar riffs and cantering drums, over which Todd delivers a tongue in cheek vocal that maintains a link with their debut.

about

Mechanical Mouse Organ Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK

Mechanical Mouse Organ's lineage stretches back to 90's indie hopefuls, Hug, whose brief career won them plaudits from the NME and Mark Radcliffe. A reunion in 2011 paved the way for a new band, featuring Darryl Todd on vocals, and a harder edged direction mixing alt and classic rock sounds, pushed through the tonal blender with a large dose of melody and a healthy injection of raw power. ... more
